Opisthorchiasis is found in Omsk fish

In October, the Expert Veterinary Laboratory of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) received 244 samples, with which 671 tests were carried out. As a result, experts identified about 40 incidents of non-compliance with regulatory documentation.

 

Excess of total bacterial contamination was found in a sample of meat products, seven samples of dairy products, a sample of spices and salted caviar. Pathogenic microorganisms (listeria) are found in five samples of meat products. Pathogenic microorganisms (salmonella) are found in a sample of poultry meat. Bacteria of the E. coli group are found in samples of meat products, spices and salted caviar. Excess amounts of yeast are found in salted caviar. Samples of pelmeni (russian ravioli) and spices exceeded the norms for the content of mold. The causative agent of the opisthorchiasis is found in a sample of fish products (chilled). Bacteria of E. coli group were found in ten soil samples, as well as in samples from technological equipment. Three samples of soil did not meet the standards due to excess of the enterococci index.
