70 thousand turkeys were destroyed due to the avian influenza virus. This is reported by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Administration for Rostov, Volgograd and Astrakhan regions and the Republic of Kalmykia.
The infection was found at one of the enterprises Eurodon-Yug in Oktyabrsky district. To prevent the spread of the virus, disinfection is now carried out on the contaminated territory. Earlier, the genome of avian influenza was found at Markinskaya poultry farm, which is located one and a half kilometers from the turkey enterprises.
