Peas in Omsk region damaged by a dangerous pest

Specialists of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor during the research of pea crops in Omsk region found plant damage by a dangerous pest - a nodule weevil.

 

Specialists of the Omsk Reference Center (member of Omsky Biocluster) warn agricultural producers and gardeners of the Omsk region, if the number of weevil reaches 10-15 individuals per 1 sq. Km. Meter, it is necessary to conduct chemical treatment of plants with preparations 'Karate Zeon', 'Vantex', 'Picus', 'Break', 'Karatoshans', 'Lannat'. Nodule weevils are common everywhere, but gray weevils are especially dangerous in arid regions.

 

Only thrips and dodder (from quarantine organisms) were found in May.The laboratory of quarantine phytosanitary examinations and surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor received 1294 samples in May, with which 2,489 studies were conducted. As a result of analyzes, in 518 cases objects that did not have a quarantine value for Russia were found. The study of quarantine products in two cases revealed the presence of pests (western (Californian) flower thrips and a thin-stemmed dodder).
