Agreement on the establishment of Omsky Biocluster signed

October 10, 2016,  an agreement on the establishment of Agrobiotechnologies industrial cluster signed between the Government of Omsk region and Association for the Advancement of Agrobiotechnological Industrial Cluster of Omsk region, created on the initiative of the Governor of Omsk region, Chairman of Government of Omsk region Viktor Nazarov and interested enterprises, institutions and organizations operating in the territory of Omsk region.

 

The agreement is aimed at the implementation of the regional cluster policy in the framework of the Strategy of socio-economic development of Omsk region until 2025. The objectives of the creation of Agrobiotechnological Industrial Cluster are:

  • improving the competitiveness and development of the industrial potential participants in the cluster due to their effective cooperation, including within the framework of scientific, technical and industrial cooperation;
  • increasing the investment attractiveness of Omsk region;
  • the creation of new types of industrial products, as well as improving the quality of products, including in the framework of import substitution;
  • increasing productivity in industrial enterprises - participants of the cluster, as well as the creation of new high-performance workplaces.
