According to the results of Q1 2017, Russia produced 1.56 million tons of poultry for slaughter (live weight). This is 3.5% more than in the same period last year.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Press Service, statistics take into account the data of all categories of farms. The growth in production in agricultural organizations was 3.7% (1.47 million tonnes of poultry). The production of eggs has also grown. According to the results of three months, farms of all categories produced 10.4 billion units - 2.1% more than a year ago. The production of eggs in the agricultural organizations amounted to 8.87 billion pieces (an increase of 2.5%).
