Phytosanitary research results by Q3

For the Q3 2017, the staff of the Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) analyzed about five thousand samples, of which 3135 samples were imported from domestic quarantine products, and 834 imported products.

 

For the Q3 2017, the laboratory issued about 3.5 thousand conclusions on the phytosanitary condition of quarantine products and objects. Specialists conducted 8,860 examinations, of which 2,650 within the framework of the state project.

 

During the phytosanitary examinations, eight types of quarantine objects were found in 387 cases: thick-stalked and thin-stalked dodders, western Californian flower thrips, wormwood ragweed, creeping bitter, three-flowered paslen, golden potato nematode and Siberian silkworm. A total of 48 non-quarantine objects were found in 2424 cases.

 

The Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor renders services in the field of plant quarantine to the population and organizations regarding quarantine products, as well as growing, manufacturing and marketing of plant products. Specialists conduct survey activities of fields, forest plantations, warehouses, elevators in order to identify quarantine objects.
