Russia and China discussed the agricultural cooperation

Director of the International Cooperation Department Olga Garshina got a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture of Hebei Province (PRC), Bai Gang Wei. The parties discussed several joint Russian-Chinese infrastructure and investment projects.

 

The Chinese party expressed interest in the initiatives of the full cycle on the Russian territory: including grain, fruit and vegetable cultivation, processing and sales of end product. The Chinese guests are also eager to deploy cooperation in organic agriculture. Olga Garshina considers the potential of Russian-Chinese agricultural cooperation not less than great, especially since backed by Track I agreements.

 

It worth mentioning that on July 4, 2017, when the Chinese President Xi Jinping was on visit to Moscow, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China on further collaboration confirming the mutual intentions anew.
