October 31, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Evgeny Gromyko, held a working meeting with the vice-chairman of the Daelim Industrial Co, Hae-Wook Lee. The main theme was the issue of participation of South Korean investors in the construction of agro-logistics infrastructure on the territory of Russia, as well as general issues of development of bilateral trade in agricultural products and food between both countries.
Evgeny Gromyko noted that the Russian-Korean cooperation prospects have much more potential than the current situation. The Deputy Minister spoke about the concept of the project of a large network of wholesale distribution centers throughout the Russian Federation, a separate block in which export-oriented 'agrohabs' were singled out.
Vice-chairman of the Daelim Industrial Co Hae-Wook Lee expressed readiness in cooperation with Russian partners and noted that the priority projects are the agro-industrial hub in Vladivostok and the agrohab in Moscow region.
