Russian authorities will consider the organic products bill

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation has developed the organic products bill, Russian Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

According to him, Russians consider quality an important factor in the choice of goods. Some manufacturers label the products as organic, ecological, biological, without deception, than mislead consumers. "It is impossible to stop this, as long as we do not have a law on organic products, in addition, we can not export such products actively," the minister said. He added that the organic products bill provides for the creation of a single state register, which will include information on producers and types of organic products. Soon the document will be submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation.
