Russian confectioners will lose money because of the Ukrainian duties

Russian confectioners may lose $ 15 to $ 17 million as a result of the Ukraine imposing an anti-dumping duty on chocolate and other cocoa-containing products of Russian origin. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Confectionery Market Research Center.

The Confectionery Market Research Center notes that the task of compensating for lost revenues through the development of new markets in the medium term is feasible, but by the end of this year, confectioners may lose 15-17 million dollars. This is due to the fact that the volume of chocolate supplies to the Ukraine was quite large. By the end of 2016, Russia exported to this country about 7.5 thousand tons of cocoa confectionery, the total value of which amounted to almost $ 23 million. The Ukraine took the sixth place in the world in terms of supplies of Russian sweets.
