Sales of dairy organic products are growing in the UK

Over the past year, the volume of organic products market in the UK increased by 4% and currently stands at more than 2 billion pounds sterling, reports The DairyNews with reference to the County Gazette.

Sales of organic products in the UK increased by 7.4%, and sales of organic dairy products - by 2.3%. The dynamics of organic is different from the situation with inorganic dairy products, the sales volume of which for the year practically did not change. For example, sales of organic butter grew by 9.2%. The increase in product sales was also affected by the situation related to the changed attitude of scientists to this product.

Liz Bowles, head of the Soil Association, notes that the reason for the growth in sales of organic products is people's desire to know from what and how food is produced.
