July 2017, the Department of Seed Production and Plant Protection of Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor started the testing of crops. In total, 2970 hectares were tested, where specialists checked the quality of winter crops. All seeds comply with established standards.
Specialists of Omsk Reference Center (member of Omsky Biocluster) conducted surveys to identify diseases and pests. Distribution of septoriosis and helminthosporium spotting on crops in Omsk region is noted. Brown leaf rust in some areas was a danger in late spring wheat sowing, but it did not have a mass distribution and development. Omsk Reference Center, based on the results of the surveys, provided the agrarians with recommendations, and also sent information to the district agricultural departments.
