Skolkovo hosted the School of Project Management Coaches

Early April 2017 in the Hypercube of Skolkovo Innovation Center, the School of Project Management Coaches took place, where specialists working with children and students in the field of scientific and technical creativity were invited. Mentors were not only school teachers and university teachers, but also senior students, young scientists, engineers and technical specialists who have basic scientific and technical training and a desire to work with children's and youth projects and teams. Omsky Biocluster at this event was represented by head of StartUpAcademia Practice, assistant professor of technical service, mechanics and electrical engineering department of the technical service department in the agro-industrial complex of Omsk State Agrarian University Dmitry Algazin.

The event was organized by Skolkovo Foundation and Skolkovo Open University in cooperation with Circle Movement Group and the Lift to the Future program of Sistema Charity Fund. At the opening of the event, Deputy Head of Young Professionals Director of Agency for Strategic Initiatives Dmitry Peskov addressed the participants with a welcoming speech:

"It's impossible to build a successful technology company on the russian market today, it will not be easy to pay taxes on public spending and on retirement ... There is only one option: to sell not only oil and gas but also technological products all over the world," said Dmitry Peskov. "We have a small market, and we can never compete with countries such as China, from the point of view of cheap labor and the size of the domestic market. We have one way - to create breakthrough products and sell them around the world." He believes in the future generation and does not doubt that every child is talented, it is important only to reveal his potential.

The program of the school consisted of three parts, which were divided into the main types of projects: engineering, research and entrepreneurial. Participants mastered the key stages of the life cycle of the project: highlighting the problem, setting tasks and planning, implementing the project, preparing results and reflecting on educational results. All trainees got acquainted with technologies and concrete instruments of organization of project activity.

Head of Omsky Biocluster's StartUpAcademia Practice Dmitry Algazin:

"The events were extremely rich and useful. We must learn to structure startups in a format that the investor understands. There are many remarkable innovators in Omsk region and our StartUpAcademia helps to structure an innovative idea, formalize it in an investment project and assist in finding an investor. Come to us in StartUpAcademia! ".
