May 24, 2017 in the Siberian Cossack Institute of Technology and Management (a branch of MGUTU, member of Omsky Biocluster) XVIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE - IN PRACTICAL WORKS" was held. The conference was attended by representatives of state authorities and local governments, employers, scientific and vocational teachers of vocational education institutions of higher and secondary educational institutions, researchers and teachers of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus.
An important event was the establishment of Cossack Branch of Omsky Biocluster's StartUpAcademia on the basis of the Siberian Cossack Institute of Technology and Management (SKITU).
Oleg Mamaev, director of SKITU:
"Reserves exist in any economy. Our reserve is innovative ideas that we do not know how to commercialize today. Our reserve is a small and medium-sized business of the Cossacks, they are people, patriots of their land who want and know how to work, who need assistance in structuring, competent formalization of their entrepreneurial ideas. Omsky Biocluster's StartUpAcademia assists in the "packing" of startups in formats understandable to investment institutions and interested business structures. Summer will take us to solve organizational issues, and in September, 2017, we will begin the active phase of the work of Cossack branch of StartUpAcademia."
Within the framework of the Conference, SKITU and the Innovative Eurasian University (Republic of Kazakhstan) signed a protocol on the implementation of joint research, innovation, educational, experimental and other projects.
