The press service specified that the agreement provides for the application in the EAEU of common methods for determining the varietal and planting qualities of the seeds of agricultural plants that will allow mutual recognition of documents certifying the quality of seeds and their sale on the territory of one member state with documents issued in another member country. As stated in the EEС, at the present time the agro-industrial complexes of the EAEU members are highly dependent on the import of seeds, the average annual value of which as a whole for the Union for the last five years was about $ 750 million.
