June 20, 2017, Omsk SAU (member of Omsky Biocluster), in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region, held a meeting at which issues of the effectiveness of economic measures in agricultural production were considered.
The meeting was attended by representatives of agricultural organizations, leaders responsible for the development of agriculture in the municipalities of Omsk region, scientists of the Omsk State Agrarian University. The meeting was opened by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region Maksim Chekusov. His deputy Larisa Mashinskaya made a report on the economic efficiency of agricultural production following the results of the production and financial activities of agricultural organizations in Omsk region in 2016.
Rector of OmSAU, Doctor of Economics Oksana Shumakova spoke about ways to solve the problem of increasing the economic efficiency of agricultural enterprises. The rector analyzed the results of monitoring on the issues of human resource management of agricultural organizations in Omsk region, which conducted a resource center for the cluster and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region. Oksana Shumakova noted inadequate development of the costs managing processes of agricultural organizations, problems in the planning and accounting system. The rector drew special attention to the new master's program SARUD, developed jointly by the universities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with European universities in the framework of the ERASMUS+ program. The program is focused on practical training in the field of sustainable agriculture and rural development. Oksana Shumakova, on behalf of the economic and agro-technological faculties of OmSAU, invited graduates to study under the new program.
