Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor warns agricultural producers of Omsk region about the danger of damage to plants by pea aphid. Specialists of the Department of Seed and Plant Protection say that timely chemical treatment of crops will help save the crop of legumes.
Pea aphids are found everywhere except in the Far North. It feeds on juices of various leguminous plants - peas, wicks, lentils, ranks, sweet clover, clover, sainfoin and others. Pea shoots, damaged aphids, warped, the plants are depressed, the crop and its quality are reduced. Specialists of Omsk Reference Center (member of Omsky Biocluster) recommend that farmers in a short time to carry out the treatment of plants with chemical insecticides of systemic action, otherwise losses of legumes can be colossal.
