The number of pigs of Petrovsky Pig-breeding Complex Titan-Agro LLC has increased by a third

According to the results of March 2017, the number of pigs of Petrovsky Pig-breeding Complex Titan-Agro LLC (part of Titan Group), reached 64,000 heads of one-time content, exceeding the projected capacity of the enterprise by almost 30%.

Roman Kuznetsov, Director General of Titan-Agro LLC (member of Omsky Biocluster):

"Modern equipment, strict observance of sanitary norms, high-quality fodder and excellent genetics of Irish breeds from the world-famous company Hermitage Genetics have allowed to receive a stable increase in the number of livestock since the opening of the pig complex. The main breeds of the tribal herd are Landrace, Duroc, Large White. Currently, Petrovsky Pig-breeding Complex includes 75 boars, several tens of thousands of pigs up to 8 months old, more than 3,700 sows, 900 of them are preparing to become "moms". On average, one sow brings 10 to 12 pigs, and the record was 22 kids. The entire pig-breeding population consumes exclusively the mixed fodder produced by another separate division of Titan-AgroPushkinsky Feed Mill.  They fully comply with the very strict technological standard of feeding Hermitage Genetics."

It is symbolic that the enterprise achieved such a significant indicator on a landmark date: five years ago, in mid-March 2012, the first pier was adopted at Petrovsky Pig-breeding Complex. Recall that one of the newborn Landrace was named Patrick in honor of the patron saint of Ireland. Parents of the newborn came from Ireland. Subsequently, he became a sampling boar (it was used to determine whether the mumps were ready for insemination). Maximum weight Landrace reached 160 kg, and growth at the withers - 125 cm.
