The program for the reconstruction of dairy farms in Moscow region

The implementation of the program for the reconstruction of dairy farms started in Moscow region. This is a unique program to subsidize 50% of equipment costs for the reconstruction of dairy farms, according to the website of the Moscow region Government.

According to the Minister of Investments and Innovations of the region Denis Butsaev, "about 50 farms in the Moscow region need technological re-equipment, and 200 million rubles are budgeted for this purpose." The authorities plan that the program will give an additional 100,000 tons of milk per year. In addition, as noted Butzaev, this is an opportunity to attract new investors who come to the region. Earlier, Butzaev said that "the Moscow region has a great potential - there are about 100 old-style farms that do not meet the realities, and we believe that today's owners will be interested in transferring them to high-performance enterprises."

Head of Omsky Biocluster's Genetics and Breeding of Cattle Practice Anatoly Shulakov:

"Technological re-equipment measures are the most rational solution for increasing the efficiency of farms engaged in dairy cattle breeding in Russia, especially in the Siberian region. The idea of subsidizing 50% of the costs of re-equipment of farms is not new. We are reminded once again that this program works. The Omsk region practically approached this indicator: 40% of costs are subsidized: 30% from the federal and 10% from the regional budget. In my opinion, the amount of compensation for expenses of 200 million rubles for the technological re-equipment of 50 farms is insignificant, especially for the Moscow region. As a result, this measure will not allow achieving serious results. Today, the purchase of modern equipment and the reconstruction of premises, the more so - the construction of new ones, requires significant investments, and here we can not do without attracting investors who are willing to wait several years for financial investments."
