Experts of the Omsk Reference Center (member of Omsky Biocluster) examined for 100 thousand hectares more varietal crops than last year.
Experts of the Seed Management and Plant Protection Department of Omsk Reference Center approved and registered varietal crops of crops on an area of 6,101,07 hectares in 2017. Of these, experts approved - 235,158 hectares, registered - 374,449 hectares. All crops were tested and meet the standard for varietal purity. In 2016, the area of proven varietal crops was less - only 511 605 hectares. Thus, in 2017 this indicator increased by almost 100 thousand hectares.
Also, the department staff analyzed 274 lots (219540 pieces) of planting material of fruit and berry crops grown in nurseries of Omsk region: Lisavenko Fruit-Growing Nursery JSC, Kirovsky Fruit Grower, SibNIIS Agricultural Academy Garden, Cherlaksky Fruit Grower. All planting material meets the requirements of standards and is recommended for planting.
