In total in 2017, it is planned to remove from the fields of the region more than 14 thousand hectares of winter wheat and rye.
Over 10 regions are engaged in winter crops in Omsk region. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region Nikolai Drofa:
"Farms that count money, observe technology, will increase the sowing of winter crops. The cultivation of winter crops requires a high culture of farming and it is economically more profitable, so today many farms switched to winter wheat crops. In those farms where there are seeds of the elite and the first reproductions, already all the seed material is painted."
