Young scientists of Omsk SAU - winners of the contest UMNIK

March 15, 2017, the winners of Umnik-2016 programme met in informal surroundings over tea with the officials of the Ministry of Industry, Transportation and Innovative Technology of Omsk region at the premises of the Ministry.

Igor Lukyanov, Deputy Minister, congratulated the winners:

 

“I wish the participants success with projects implementation, wish them to convert their ideas of innovative technology development and interaction of regional enterprises and investors into a reality; in addition, I pledge full Ministry support.”

 

Maksim Miller, Head of the Department of Science and Innovative Technology of the Ministry, expressed his congratulations by highlighting the level of determination of the young scientists, who has he met as a member of contest panel for some years now. The winners presented themselves and their projects, which sparked a real audience’s interest. The matters of commercialization, industrial partners, and opportunities to sell licensed technology were put to a real discussion.

 

There were 2 projects from Omsk SAU among 11 regional winners, who were awarded a prize of 500 000 rubles. One of the projects is the Development of technology for obtaining hard gelatin capsules based on spirulina algae for the correction of taste and odor of medicines for animals (authored by Valentina Vodolaga) and the second one is Development and introduction of the ecological farming method with the use of vibratory cultivator (authored by Vitaly Mazurov).

 

Vice-Rector for Research of Omsk SAU, regional representative of the regional Innovations Assistance Fund, doctor of economics, Vitaly Aleshchenko:

“Congratulations, young and talented scientists! Together we’ve summed up provisional results, what is very important. I would like to draw you attention to the new requirements of projects implementation results, in particular, the critical importance of R&D implementation. All of the developments we output must be commercialized and be of benefit to the national economy”.
