The quality of Russian wheat is declining

Russian Agricultural Center FSBI conducted the first assessment of the quality of the new wheat crop. Specialists of the Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) explored more than 120 pheromone traps installed in granaries with an area of more than 3000 square meters. As a result of the quarantine entomological expertise, the Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium, a dangerous pest) was not found.

Grain: there will not be export duties

The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia does not see the prerequisites for imposing an export duty or other restrictive measures on grain shipments abroad. In this case, the agency is considering the possibility of implementing in 2018-2019, 1.5M tons of grain from the intervention fund, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture report.

Biodiesel goes to the top

According to experts of Oil World, following the results of 2018, world production of biodiesel can reach a record high of 39.4M tons, which is 1.5M tons more than the previous forecasts of experts, and significantly higher than last year's figure (35.8M tons).

Omsk veterinarians reported on the results of August

ASF attacks Russian regions

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, a difficult situation with the African swine fever virus (ASF) spread is recorded in 17 Russian regions. Since the beginning of 2018 outbreaks of the disease have been identified in Belgorod, Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Saratov, Vladimir, Leningrad, Orel, Nizhny Novgorod, Tver, Moscow, Novgorod, Tula, Sverdlovsk, Rostov and Ivanovo regions, Krasnodar Territory, and the Republic of Crimea.
