China has stopped the purchase of agricultural products from the US

The Chinese government has banned state-owned companies from buying agricultural products from the US in response to statements by US President Donald Trump to impose 10% duties on industrial food and non-food products from China since September this year, as well as a possible increase in duties to 25% by the end of the year.

Product Safety: July Results

The Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Products of Animal and Plant Origin, Feed and Objects of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) received 845 samples in July, with which 2713 studies were conducted. As a result, 24 samples were found that did not comply with regulatory documentation.

Omsk rapeseed oil is shipped to China

The formation and departure of a freight train consisting of 88 containers along the route Omsk-Vostochny - station Nakhodka-Vostochnaya is being completed in the Omsk region. The train will allow transporting about 1 892 tons of oil, the journey takes ten days. Further, the containers will be loaded onto a container ship that will deliver the goods in one shipload to the port of Chongqing in China.

European companies invest in artificial meat

Swiss multinational corporation Nestle announced its intention to invest in the production of alternative meat. Together with two other major investors (the British Tesco and the Dutch-British Unilever), Nestle began to develop a project that over time will ensure the replacement of natural meat with artificially created analogues.

Russia increased the export of confectionery products by 14%

In January-July 2019, Russian manufacturers increased the export of confectionery products by 14%. In total, over the above period, Russian sweets worth $ 563 million were delivered abroad.
