Grain exporters will be checked in ports

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance reported on the possible suspension of the activities of about 30 companies - owners of logistics grain terminals in the Kuban and in Rostov region, from which grain is shipped for export. Experts believe that in this way the Russian authorities are trying to restrain the growth of grain exports. The bulk of exported Russian grain is shipped from the Krasnodar Territory and Rostov region.

Barry Callebaut will buy a company in Russia

The world's largest manufacturer of chocolate and cocoa products Barry Callebaut acquires one of the main producers of raw materials for confectioners in Russia - Inforum Group. The deal will allow the buyer to strengthen its position in the Russian market, which is now growing faster than the global one. Financial terms of the agreement are not disclosed. The transaction will require the approval of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service and must be closed before the end of the year.
