April 6, 2018, a working meeting of the Omsky Biocluster CEO the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Omsk region Government Valery Boyko was held. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region Maxim Chekusov. 
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan has coordinated with the Veterinary Organization of Iran requirements for the export of beef and chicken eggs. This was announced on April 2 by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 
The Ministry of Industry and Trade sent a letter to the Government of the Russian Federation with a list of goods for which mandatory labeling can be introduced, Vedomosti writes. Earlier, the first deputy prime minister Igor Shuvalov instructed the Ministry to create such a list.

From 1 to 30 March, the Expert Veterinary Laboratory of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) checked 205 samples with which 930 tests were carried out. As a result, experts identified 27 cases of inconsistencies in regulatory documentation. 
April 3-4, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the 'Fat-and-Oil Industry - Driver of the Growth of the Russian Agroindustry' Annual Conference was held. First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dzhambulat Khatuov took part in the conference. 
April 3, 2018, the first reading of the Bill on Organic Farming was held in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ivan Lebedev, speaking in the State Duma with a report on the draft law, noted that the legislatively fixed mechanisms for regulating organic production processes are now absent in the Russian Federation. The current situation creates conditions when unscrupulous producers have the opportunity to label their products ungroundedly as 'organic', 'biological', 'environmental', thereby misleading… 
In March, the Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Products of Animal and Vegetable Origin, Feeds and Environmental Objects of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) received 220 samples, for 164 of which the study was completed. A total of 1514 tests were carried out, 29 samples were found with violations of the requirements of regulatory documentation.
