Russian CCI discussed cooperation with Bahrain in the agroindustry
Prospects for the development of Russian-Bahraini cooperation in the agroindustry complex were discussed at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry during a meeting with the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The organizers were the Russian-Bahraini and Bahraini-Russian business councils. The Bahraini delegation was headed by a member of the board of the Chamber of Commerce of Bahrain - the chairman of the food committee Khaled Ali Rashed Al-Amin. 
Saudi Arabia canceled a temporary ban on the supply of Russian beef, mutton, goat, as well as poultry and eggs. Also restrictions on import of the processed meat production of the Russian manufacture are liquidated. 
On September 11, 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region conducted a meeting with the representatives of the Central Veterinary Department, the Rosselkhoznadzor, the heads of agricultural administrations in those areas where the livestock was alienated due to the African swine fever (ASF), as well as the affected farmers and heads of large slaughter stations to discuss work in the conditions of ASF. 
China will pay farmers to turn animal poo into fertiliser and power, the PRC's Ministry of Agriculture. China will give farmers subsidies to build animal waste processing facilities to make fertilisers or to treat manure so it's safe for disposal, and to install biogas plants that use methane to generate electricity. 
In September the Rosselkhoznadzor held a meeting in Vladivostok with representatives of two Korean departments - the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs. 
The world production of eight key vegetable oils (soybean, rapeseed, palm, sunflower, cottonseed, coconut, palm kernel, peanut) in 2017/18 MY will increase by 3.6% per year - to 187.1 million tons, according to the Fat-and-Oil Union of Russia. 
The EU Council and the European Parliament agreed to update the organic production rules. This will meet the needs of this sector, which is now growing rapidly. 
China abolished restrictions on foot and mouth disease on the importation of 49 regions of Russia of artiodactyl animals and products from them, Rosselkhoznadzor reported. This is one of the stages of abolishing restrictions on the supply of meat products to the PRC from Russia, TASS reported.
