Prices for chicken meat increased by 10–12% in Russia. So, a kilogram of chicken meat six months ago could have been bought for 122 RUR ($ 1.85), and in September the price had risen to 140 RUR ($ 2.12). The pig breeders hope that the vaccine against African swine fever virus (ASF) will finally be received. Spanish researcher José Manuel Sánchez-Vizcaíno, announced that after a half or two years, a vaccine against the virus will appear and the disease can be treated without destroying the population, reports portal CdeComunicacion. 
At the beginning of November, the conference 'Foreign Economic SME Activity' was held in the regional Congress Hall, where winners of the '2017 Best Omsk Region Exporter Competition' were awarded. 22 companies that export products to the countries of the Customs Union and the CIS became participants in the competition.
