The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia discussed support for agrarian Cossack farms
March 2, the director of the Department of Rural Development Vladimir Svezhenets held a meeting of the Commission of the Council of the President of Russia on Cossacks to support the economic development of the Russian Cossacks. The meeting was attended by the Rector of the Moscow State University of Technology and Management (First Cossack University), a member of the Council of the President of the Russian Federation for Cossacks Valentina Ivanova.
March 1, the Scientific Agricultural Library became the venue for the visiting session of the Omsk Branch of the Russian Geographical Society 'OmSAU and the Omsk Branch of the Russian Geographical Society - a hundred years together', dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster). 
The new format of events for specialists - the Educational Week - took place within the Effective Livestock Program (operators - 'Genetics & Breeding of Cattle Practice' of Omsky Biocluster and the Interregional Center for Agro Industry Engineering). 
In February, 206 samples were delivered to the Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Products of Animal and Plant Origin, Feeds and Environmental Objects of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster). 2102 tests were carried out, as a result, 21 discrepancies were revealed. 
Preferential tariffs for railway transportation of Russian grain should be in the future, said Russian President Vladimir Putin in his message to the Federal Assembly on March 1. "We need to work on the issue of extending preferential tariffs for rail transportation of grain for the period after July 1, 2018," the President said, considering this mechanism an effective method of supporting agro-companies and curbing a drop in the growth of grain prices. 
February 5 - 9, 2018, the 25th Anniversary International Exhibition of Food, Beverages and Raw Materials for their Production PRODEXPO-2018 was held in Moscow. The company presented a new trademark Sladonezh (Sladonezh JSC is a member of Omsky Biocluster), which included TOP items from 300 names of confectionery products. 
December 2017, imports of palm oil in Russia amounted to 22.7 thousand tons. Compared with November, it declined by more than 35%. This is the minimum monthly volume for the last 7 seasons. 
February 21, the Agreement on Strategic Partnership and Cooperation between the Omsky Biocluster Association and the Agro-Industrial Cluster of Kemerovo region was signed.
