Industrial technology parks will receive more than 2.5B RUR subsidies

October 30, a meeting of the commission of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation on the examination of regional applications within the framework of SME state support was held. The Commission decided to approve applications of technopark projects from six regions of Russia for a state subsidy total 2,623.6M RUR ($ 39.96M). The expert groups include experts from the Association of Clusters and Technology Parks of Russia.

Lamb processing plant will be launched in Khakassia

A lamb processing plant is planned to open in the Republic of Khakassia (near Prigorsk) with a planned capacity of 100K  sheep per year, or 300 heads per day. The start of production in a test mode is expected in November-December. The project was developed by Austrian partners.

Russia: meat exports rose by a third

According to the Federal Customs Service, in January-August exports of meat and offal in value terms grew by almost a third (+ 32.3%) compared to the same period last year, to $ 261M. At the same time, supplies to foreign markets of more expensive products of deep processing are reduced . Thus, the export of sausages, ready-made and canned meat and meat by-products in eight months fell by 3.6% in annual terms, while imports increased by 2.2%.

Miratorg plans to supply all Russia with pork

The Russian agro-industrial holding Miratorg intends to bring production to one million tons of pork per year (in live weight) within five years and meet all the needs of the Russian market for pork.

The government of the Russian Federation may impose restrictions on grain exports from the country in the event of a threat of rising bread prices, said Igor Artemyev, head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS), on October 26.
